Riders Helping Riders
Riders Helping Riders is a program set up to help seriously injured riders who are injured at District 37 events. The program is here to assist during the difficult times following the injury.

Riders Helping Riders was established in 1995 to financially assist riders who have been seriously injured while participating in a District 37 sanctioned event. Donations that have created this fund have helped riders with their house payments, medical bills, groceries, construction of wheelchair access ramps and rehabilitation while recovering from their injuries.

Fund raisers for RHR include an Fund Run, a Golf Tournament and an Annual Desert Scramble Race. The Fund Run, which is hosted by the Vikings MC in April is fun for the whole family. The course is usually between 10 and 14 miles long and is made for beginners of all ages to enjoy. There is also a competition between the District Clubs for the best theme check.

The First Annual Golf Tournament was held in June of 2005 and was such a great success that we have continued this fund raiser, which grows bigger and better each year. This is traditionally held in June during the racing “break” of summer. You don’t need to be a good golfer because we play best ball, but if you are a Tiger Woods, you may go home with a brand new KTM donated by Malcolm Smith Motosports. There are other prizes, games, food and beverage included with your entry.

The Desert Scramble is traditionally held the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. What makes this event unique is that not only one club is hosting this event, but many volunteers from numerous District Clubs come together to host this event. This Desert Scramble honors those riders who are no longer able to ride with us. The overall winner of this event is awarded a perpetual trophy. Past winners of this trophy include Doug Chiapuzio and Mike Childress. Since this is a benefit ride, we look forward to making the course a fun one.
Your support and donations for your fellow racers in their time of need is very much appreciated. Please submit donations made payable to
