Riders Helping Riders is a sub-committee of the American Motorcyclist Association District 37 Off-Road Amateur Competition, which is comprised of over 20 off-road racing clubs. The RHR Committee oversees a fund that was created to assist riders who are injured in a District 37 AMA sanctioned event. With this fund, RHR helps seriously injured D37 riders while they are recovering from their injuries. RHR pays it forward by helping with house payments, groceries, medical expenses, utility bills, whatever the rider needs during recovery. Money has also been used for after care such as rehab, wheelchair ramps and modifying homes to be ADA compliant. In extreme cases, the money helps to cover the cost of funeral expenses.

RHR Funds are not guaranteed, and each case is reviewed on an individual basis by the RHR Committee.

Qualifications for RHR assistance:
  • Must be a registered participant or a registered course worker injured by a participant or Rescue volunteer injured while responding to or administering first aid at a Sanctioned District 37 event.
  • Must have medical insurance including Air ambulance coverage - proof required.
  • Must submit request within 2 months of the accident via RHR request form.
  • Proof the injured rider will be out of work for at least 2 weeks.
  • RHR can release $1000 immediately upon approval by the committee via emergency approval.
  • If approved, MAX payout in a 12-month period per individual is $5000.
  • All claims will be submitted to the RHR committee for review and approval.
  • All information provided to the RHR Committee will be kept strictly confidential.
The RHR fund is solely supported by donations and fundraisers. The money riders receive is usually a great bridge between the time they are injured and the time it takes for State Disability Insurance to kick in. Riders who receive money from RHR do not have to pay it back. Between 2004 and 2023, RHR has
donated over $250,000.00 to injured riders. No donation is too small and every donation is greatly appreciated!! If you would like to send a donation, you may click the donation button located on this page. Please include RHR in the notes so it may be allocated correctly. If you prefer to send a donation by mail, please make your check payable to District 37 with RHR in the memo and send it to the District 37 Treasurer located at the bottom of this page. From everyone involved with RHR, THANK YOU for your support!!
